The transmission rate of 5G is more than 10 times that of 4G. The increase in transmission rate brings about a significant increase in power consumption and heat. The rise in temperature will cause wavelength drift and affect the transmission efficiency of optical modules. Micro cooling chips are an effective path to solve the heat dissipation problem of optical modules
High and low temperature testing is a core process in the production of optical modules, and each product must undergo high and low temperature experimental testing before leaving the factory. The testing temperature for industrial grade optical modules requires a temperature change within the range of -40 ℃ -95 ℃ (with a time requirement of about 2 minutes). In the production process of optical modules, about 70% of them need to undergo high and low temperature testing. At present, manufacturers face problems such as high equipment investment, high power consumption, and slow production pace, which can be effectively solved by utilizing semiconductor thermoelectric technology.
